What we collect

SportsBlogging does not ask you to create an account, does not run a newsletter, and does not place advertising or tracking cookies of its own. There is no comment system, so there is no comment data.

If you email us, we hold that email in order to reply to it. We do not add you to any list and we do not pass your address to anyone else.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like essentially all web hosts, Vercel processes technical request data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse. This is standard server logging and is handled under Vercel’s own privacy terms.

Third-party data on our pages

Fixture tables, results and league standings come from TheSportsDB. That data is fetched by our server, not by your browser, so loading a page with a fixture table does not expose you to TheSportsDB.

Team and competition badges shown alongside fixtures are images served from TheSportsDB’s image host, which means your browser does request those files directly and the host will see a standard web request when it does.

Links to other sites

We link to broadcasters, clubs, competitions, news organisations and, on some pages, sports streaming portals. Once you follow a link away from this site you are subject to that site’s privacy practices, not ours, and we have no control over what they collect.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or EU you have rights over personal data we hold about you, including the right to ask for a copy of it or to have it deleted. In practice the only personal data we are likely to hold is an email you sent us. Ask and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top rather than changing it quietly.
